Air Similan to Support Fans During the FIFA World Cup 2026
Paris, May 23, 2026 – Air Similan today announced a dedicated operational initiative for the FIFA World Cup 2026, supporting French fans throughout the tournament. Remaining true to its commitment to realism and immersion, the airline is introducing a dedicated program designed to serve the various host cities welcoming matches involving the French national team.
As part of this initiative, Air Similan will progressively operate flights to the key destinations along Les Bleus’ tournament journey. This program will enable pilots to realistically recreate the travel flows of French supporters traveling to the different competition venues across North America.
A Special Event at the Heart of the Pilot Experience
To mark the occasion, Air Similan is launching an exclusive event open to all of its pilots. The concept is based on a progressive tour experience, consisting of operating flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to each city hosting France’s matches throughout the tournament.
The first operations to New York (JFK and EWR), as well as Boston (BOS), will support French fans traveling to New Jersey for the June 16 match, to Philadelphia for the June 22 fixture, and later to Foxborough, near Boston, for the June 26 game.
The program will then be progressively expanded and updated according to the evolution of the French national team’s journey in the tournament, giving pilots the opportunity to follow Les Bleus throughout the competition via additional transatlantic routes. All flights will remain available until August 31, 2026, while the first rotations will open starting June 1.
These special flights may be operated using either the Airbus A350-900 or the Boeing 777-300ER, allowing all of the airline’s long-haul pilots to take part in this exceptional event under conditions closely aligned with real-world operations.
A special reward will be granted to pilots who complete the full tour between June 1 and August 31, 2026, recognizing their commitment and consistency throughout the event. Full details regarding the available routes, participation requirements, and future destinations added as the tournament progresses will be progressively published and updated on a dedicated page available to Air Similan pilots.
It will also be possible to operate certain special legs independently from the full tour. However, these standalone flights will not qualify for the special distinction reserved for pilots completing the entire tour.
An Exclusive “Team France” Livery Unveiled
As part of this exceptional initiative, Air Similan is also unveiling a special “Team France” livery applied to its Boeing 777-300ER registered F-MFYC, proudly bearing the name of the city of Lyon. Specifically designed for the FIFA World Cup 2026, this exclusive visual identity symbolizes the airline’s support for the French national team throughout the tournament.
Displayed on the aircraft in the form of a dedicated event sticker, this special design will accompany the various rotations operated as part of the event. This temporary livery further enhances the immersive experience offered to pilots by bringing the spirit of the competition directly into the simulator environment.
An Initiative Focused on Realism and Community Engagement
Through this initiative, Air Similan reaffirms its ambition to deliver increasingly immersive experiences directly connected to major international events. By combining operational realism, innovation, and community engagement, the airline continues to expand its ecosystem in support of its pilot community.
